Financial Accountant

What role will you play?As our Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the financial management of the business including:Assisting with statutory financial accounting, taxation, payroll, and financial planning and analysis. This includes overseeing the procure-to-pay process, month-end reporting, annual audits, assisting in the preparation of annual budgets, and bi-annual re-forecasts.Ensuring high levels of compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax laws are always maintained.Forecasting future financial performance including working with technical, procurement, and corporate finance teams to ensure that projects have comprehensive and reliable financial projections.Managing funding of the project companies, working capital, and intragroup cash flows.Managing relationships with external stakeholders including outsourced service providers, auditors, tax agents, and banks.Liaising with our development partners to ensure that the projects' financial management systems and processes are suitable for and accepted by all project shareholders.Compiling and presenting high-quality management reports to senior management.What you offerTo excel in this role, you will hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (accounting, commerce, business), a CA or CPA certificate, and have at least 5 years' experience in financial accounting in Australia or multi-jurisdiction business. Exposure to energy markets and project accounting is highly desirable but not essential.Self-starter who is confident enough to take on duties and responsibilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in Xero will be useful but not essential.We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us.
