You will find yourself quickly growing in your career, backed by a collaborative team that is open to new ideas and encourages everyone to bring their best selves to work.About the RoleAs a Financial Accountant based in Adelaide, you will own the accounts processing with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, end of month and EOFY tasks, providing assistance with financial data and reports; and assist in the ongoing improvement of financial procedures.The day to day role may look likeEnsuring accurate processing and verification of supplier invoices, internal approval and assistance in the creation of batch paymentsWorking through allocations, receipting, invoicing and follow up of overdue amountsEnsuring accurate and timely processing of payroll in accordance with local statutory requirements and regulations; calculation of final salary payment for leavers; collaboration with HR on payroll related matters; staying updated with payroll regulations and changes; keeping up to date with internal transfers and promotions within the companyKeeping track of company credit cards and ensuring outstanding paperwork regarding credit card transactions have been submitted to ensure timely reconciliationKeeping track of virtual cards on Airwallex and reconciling transactions as and when the transaction occursDaily reconciliations of bank accounts for both the AU and US entitiesPerform internal audits to ensure employees have been allocated to their correct employee cost centres for reporting purposesSupport the Financial Controller with the ownership of monthly and annual balance sheet reconciliations, including ongoing development and enhancementLead the annual external Financial audit with support from the Finance team and audit partnersLead compliance for FBT and Payroll TaxSupport the Financial Controller in managing the company's cash flow including optimizing collectionsContinuous identification and addressing of systemic issues, leading initiatives to refine financial systems, and controls and policy in accordance with company practices and accounting standardsYou Have2 - 3 years of experience working as an Accountant in a similar role2 - 3 years of prior experience working with PayrollExperience in a similar role within an accounting firm or corporate work environmentExperience with Xero or similar accounting softwareHigh attention to detail and enjoy problem solvingYou Are Willing ToBe vulnerable, make mistakes and share your learnings openly so others can learn tooWork in a start-up to scale-up environment where uncertainty and ambiguity is expected and normalMeet us where we are but also inspired and energised to contribute to our growth which contributes to your own personal and career growthHold yourself accountable to getting things done in a self-organising team environment where we are all responsible for energising our roles and bringing the purpose of our role's to life, you operate proactively and are self-starter by natureYou ValueGoing above and beyond to deliver value because you care about bringing about positive outcomesSelf-awareness in others and yourself, sharing and relating to others on a personal level at workLumary's values aligning with your personal values:We 'Lead with an open heart' by assuming positive intent and being courageousWe 'Start with the end in mind' by focussing on long-term impact of our actions and decisionsWe 'Take action in uncertainty' by proactively taking the next best step and exercising autonomyWe 'Enable others for our collective good' through kindness and a team-first approachBenefits of Working With LumaryLearning is happening constantly - it's part of how we workOwn your own personal and professional development and work with an internal coach or mentor (of your choosing) to support you on your journeyFlexibility to work from home and the office - hybrid working environmentFlexible start and finish times - have a routine but on the days you need to book an appointment or finish early, you go for itExposure to cutting-edge social technologies in an international scale-up environmentWorking at LumaryWe are proud of the work we are doing and the team we have built so far.Join us and be part of a team working together to do better.
