About the Role The role of Assistant Financial Accountant at CTM is responsible for assisting the Financial Accountant and finance team in the control of the finance and accounting methods, practices and procedures of CTM and in the preparation of appropriate financial assessments, accounting records and other information, allowing senior management to make informed business decisions and thereby improve the organisation's profitability.
Key Responsibilities • Assist with of bank reconciliations queries (SAP/Xero) • Weekly Concur/AMEX reconciliations and payments • Responsible for the Accounts Receivable function for the corporate debtors • Assist with the Accounts Payable function as required • Assist with preparation of month end tasks • Ensuring that policies and procedures are maintained at all times • Ensure team processes/tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within set timeframes • Delivering a high standard of communication and customer service to customers (internal and external) and colleagues • Providing assistance to the Senior Financial Accountant and the wider Finance team as required • Ensure all filing and working documents are maintained on a timely basis • Other duties and adhoc projects as assigned from time to time Skills and Experience • Basic accounting concepts through experience in a similar role and/or currently completing a tertiary degree in Accounting • Working knowledge of processes required for compliance e.g.
GST/ FBT/ Income tax and other statutory requirements desirable, but not essential • Minimum intermediate level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, internet and email systems with particular emphasis on Excel • Experience with software platform SAP and Xero highly desirable • Knowledge of the travel industry is desirable, but not essential • Accurate data entry and numeracy skills • Good time management skills and able to multitask • Strong attention to detail, and able to work unsupervised • Demonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skills • Able to main confidentiality Why CTM?
