JOB SUMMARY:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant with responsibility for a dynamic, fast-paced division within an experienced Finance Team.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Management Reporting and Analysis Responsible for completion of the monthly management accounts for their division, including financial metrics, with detailed analysis and insights to material deviations for the division.Responsive to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarising and providing relevant commentary on the financial information available.Responsible for ensuring balance sheet for the division is reconciled monthly including preparation of supporting schedules.Oversight of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable function for the division.Review of monthly and annual GST, PAYE, FBT and Income Tax returns.Treasury and working capital model preparation. Financial Reporting Responsible for the delivery of the annual statutory financial statements, audits and tax returns of the division working with local auditors, tax specialists and accountants.Support the financial reporting of a complex division, including several branches with foreign currencies, by contributing to the technical accounting treatment of new scenarios as the division expands. Business Support Develop and upgrade reporting structures and tools embracing digital technology and automation.Documentation and improvement of finance department SOP's including identification of strategic risks. REQUIREMENTS: Qualified accountant with a minimum of 1 year of relevant PQE.Excellent IT skills and communication skills.Excellent organisational skills.Motivated, flexible individual who can work closely with other team members and build relationships across functions.Maintain motivation to complete tasks with attention to detail, within the constraints of a busy department.Self-starter with ability to set objectives and work efficiently to deliver on timelines.Tax experience an advantage.
