Finance Manager

A market leader in their industry both locally and internationally, this Australian business is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join its head office team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will be based at the business's head office in Sydney, with onsite parking and in close proximity to public transport and major transport links.
This position reports directly to an experienced Financial Controller and takes responsibility for multiple divisions within the group. While day-to-day tasks will be varied, the key responsibilities will include:
Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of compliance and statutory reportingReconcile inter-company accountsBudgeting & forecastingManagement reportsProcess journals and maintenance of general ledgerCompletion of month-end closeBusiness partnering across multiple internal and external stakeholdersInventory managementLead and mentor the finance teamPreparation of budgets and forecastsMonitor financial performance and identify risks and opportunitiesContinuous improvement of the systems and processesWe are looking for someone who is prepared to be hands-on and work in a collaborative environment. You will need to have solid technical accounting knowledge and preferably finished either CPA or CA qualifications. Given the access to business, strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is a demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
