On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Finance Manager to join the small, close-knit team based in West Perth.This role currently has a single, part time direct report, as such, this is very much a "hands-on role". You will need to be a self-starter and willing to have direct involvement in undertaking finance function responsibilities from month end to detailed cash-flow modelling.The RoleReporting to the CEO, you will be an experienced, self-starting finance professional with previous experience in professional services, or a listed mining and exploration environment.Finance Function Leadership:Overall responsibility and leadership of the Company's finance function including payroll, AP/AR.Management of all financial reporting and statutory compliance obligations of the Company including annual reporting, BAS, taxation, ASX compliance, audit, board reporting, and project accounting.Lead the annual development of both the Operating and Capital budget, including to ensure compliance with established company parameters and timelines and provide line management with monthly reports on their respective cost performance (Actual v/s Budget) through the calendar year.Maintenance of appropriate insurance coverage across the business.Maintenance of risk register and reporting risk issues to the CEO and risk committee.Oversee employee benefit plans, with emphasis on maximising a cost-effective benefits package.Development and implementation of a treasury function to maximise returns for the Company's cash assets.Management of all audit activities.RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a CPA or CA qualification, with additional qualifications in corporate governance or risk highly regarded. A minimum of 5 years financial experience with experience in handling financial and corporate affairs of a listed company in a managerial capacity, preferably in a mining related industry, is expected. Ideally you will have experience working in an exploration or project development stage project, with a willingness to engage with technical personnel and understand and support the nature of operational and exploration activities.In ReturnThis is a unique opportunity to join an exciting exploration company in the development stages.
