Job Description - Finance Manager (261259) We're changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?
The Project UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink's delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:
500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa, up to six new substation sites. This exciting project will commence construction in 2024 and we are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team on the Copperstring Project.
What will a day in this role look like: Coordination of financial and management reporting for both internal and external stakeholders Daily interaction with operational management in providing financial guidance and escalating issues to senior management where required Maintaining contractual records, correspondence, proposed changes to contracts, warranties, delays, extensions of time and other contract management functions as necessary Establishing and maintaining an up-to-date framework of reports for all interested parties on the commercial and financial status of the project. Communicate effectively with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders, including participation in joint venture and customer project meetings as required What are we looking for you to bring to the team: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to customers, advanced writing ability and delivering clear, concise and accurate advice to people at all levels in a professional manner Experience in leading, motivating and influencing staff, driving and evaluating work objectives for improved business performance Ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners.
