Job Description Reporting directly to the company CFO, the main responsibilities will be:
Assist with developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting.High-level financial reporting and analysis/ Full ownership and accountability for the delivery of weekly, monthly, and annual reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, Rolling forecasts, Annual financial statements, etc).Manage all finance and accounting operations including A/R, A/P, and payroll reviewing.Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and reporting variances.Cash flow management including debt management and collection.Preparing timely monthly financial statements.Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting including coordinating the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax compliance.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Conduct all activities in accordance with the Quality, Safety & Environmental Management System.Manage and mentor finance team members.Oversee the accounting operations of other associated/subsidiary entities, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.Assist with the identification and recruitment of industry talent as required.Be an active advocate of a culture where high performance and safety are top priorities.Drive innovation and operational excellence in the way we work.Fully immerse in understanding all aspects of the business, particularly driving effective relationships with the Sector.Make effective and valuable contributions as a SLT member.Involve in a number of other advisory boards within the group as the finance representative.Manage the monthly financial and Board reporting.Maintain relationships with external auditors and banks.Manage the accounting and finance departments.Identify areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs.Manage external banking relationships.Measure company performance against external and internal benchmarks.The Successful Applicant We are seeking a seasoned Finance Manager with relevant background experience in the construction industry to step into a Finance Controller role:
CA Professional accounting qualification.Bachelors or master's qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or Business Law.At least 8 years of accounting experience in managing roles.Strong focus on continuous improvement and automation of financial processes.What's on Offer Step into a leading position in a construction company, a leader in the Australian Market.
