About the opportunity
Reporting to the 'Finance Manager, Network Operations South', you will be responsible for the financial management and business performance of Network Operations within the SA/NT & WA Delivery Network (Processing, Last Mile Delivery, Metro Transport). You will be a trusted adviser to the operational stakeholders and senior management to ensure they are provided with accurate and timely financial information to enable informed business decisions.
What you'll deliver with us
You provide commercial insight into operational activities, analysis of results, and input to the development of business cases as required.
You'll also:
Have full accountability for reporting, planning and forecasting for SA/NT & WA Network Operations. This will include accurate and timely mid-month estimates and month end accruals, in line with business requirements.
Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, tracking and reporting of business initiatives and their associated benefits, and regular monthly tasks.
Apply your analytical skills and commercial judgement to challenge and influence business decisions.
Identify, analyse, and report opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost management, as well as providing regular insights around cost performance and monthly outlook.
Facilitate the development of projects/processes to enable the achievement of productivity and performance improvement across the Delivery Network.
Review, evaluate and provide advice on business cases and investment proposals.
Develop strong working relationships with the client group to provide relevant commercial advice and insights to achieve customer and commercial outcomes.
*The role will be based in SA but will require periodic travel to support stakeholders in NT & WA.
About you
Membership to an Accounting professional accreditation (CA/CPA).
Great understanding of the eCommerce market and industry knowledge such as logistics and supply chain operations would be beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to provide proactive Finance Business Partnering services.
Experience with financial systems in a large organisation, including strong PC skills (particularly Microsoft Excel) and data extraction from SAP, Tableau or other data analysis software/systems.
