About the Role: As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for:
Interpreting specifications, drafting and maintaining drawings and plans, construction methods and procedures Managing and mentoring other Project Engineers, Site Engineers and graduates Providing leadership support to the Project Manager, Construction Manager and wider Project team Comprehensively understanding the scope of work, specifications, work plans and drawings Developing detailed work programs for allocated work packages Managing scope of work, equipment and materials, and ensuring compliance Identifying variations in work packages and submitting a list for review by the Project Manager Pro-actively managing costs within your control, to ensure project delivery within budget Developing margin improvement strategies in conjunction with the Project Manager and teams Preparing Project Specific Quality Management Plans and obtaining approval from the Client Allocating responsibility to staff to perform the QA/QC inspections and duties as defined in the project quality plan and related procedures Developing Project specific Construction Management Plans and getting the same approved by the client Preparing and reviewing internal ITPs, forms & checklists for approval by Client About You: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Demonstrated experience working in a FIFO or DIDO capacity preferred Demonstrated experience with complex FRP / Remote Concrete projects are a MUST Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring project teams Excellent written and spoken communication skills What We Offer: Whittens is committed to investing in our people, offering learning and development opportunities to build on the skills and experience you bring.
