Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our Service Operations Support team at Metso. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers in the field, focusing on Metso Filtration, Flotation, and Thickener equipment.
Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on technical support and service work on Metso Mineral Processing Equipment at customer sites.Act as a liaison between customers, product divisions, and sales personnel to ensure seamless communication and support.Conduct technical evaluations and analyze equipment and machine component failures to identify root causes.Supervise and oversee projects on customer sites to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.Perform field machine inspections according to global and customer procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.Evaluate and escalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering teams as needed.Prepare detailed post-site visit reports, time sheets, and expenses to ensure accurate record-keeping.Support warranty processes and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure customer satisfaction and quality assurance.Promote Technical Support value-added services and support Technical Support Teams to enhance customer experience.Identify and document equipment in the field at customer sites that are not part of our installed base, triggering data input and updates.Requirements Hold a Mechanical trade qualification and possess high-level fault-finding aptitude.Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office – Word and Excel.Hold a current motor vehicle license and be physically fit to pass random medical and drug tests.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.Ability to work away from home for extended periods, including weekends and extended hours, as required.Clearly understand and competency in Risk management and safety rule compliance.Full OEM training on Metso Equipment provided.Ability to travel within short notice.About Metso Metso is a global leader in sustainable technologies, end-to-end solutions, and services for the aggregates, minerals processing, and metals refining industries.
