Supervisor, Field Service, NSW & QueenslandReports to:Service Manager, Analytical InstrumentsPosition Location:SydneyHow you'll make an impact:You will work closely with the Service Manager to lead and develop a team of highly specialised Field Service Engineers, as well as install, maintain and repair equipment aligned with role responsibilities of a Field Service EngineerWhat will you do?Drive Customer Allegiance through excellent customer relations, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectationsDeliver unparalleled customer value through effective communication, responsive problem resolution and high-quality service.Enabling service effectiveness through staff development, mentoring, training, policy and process managementInstall, maintain and repair Chromatography and Mass Spec. equipmentManage, coach and develop a localised team of Field Service EngineersCoordinate daily on-site repair work aligned with customer SLAs and company KPI’sPlan and manage equipment installation activityManage technical issues and customer escalationsComplete team development requirements and team career planning with Management SupportPlan and manage contract and ad-hoc PM work aligned with customer SLAs and company KPI’sWith other service managers plan and develop engineer competency and cross train the team to meet regional and organisational needsManage the strategic activities of technical specialists and AI engineers in QLD & NSWHow will you get here?Education:Tertiary qualification and/or trade qualification, preferably in scientific, engineering and/or businessExperience:5+ years of experience in delivering field service and support in a customer environmentTeam management experience with a track record in developing and coaching a high performing team to deliver against objectivesAbility to operate within an environment focused on high performance and high levels of intensityWhat will put you ahead of the competition?High level competency and experience in service and support of liquid chromatography AND mass spectrometry platformsA collaborative approach with the ability to build strong working relationshipsExcellent interpersonal & communication skillsSelf-driven, results-oriented and "hands-on" approachWhat’s in it for you?Performance based rewards structureAn opportunity to change and improve processes and programsDevelopment opportunities being part of a leading global organisationAccess to Thermo Fisher’s global universityThermo Fisher Scientific Inc.
