Job Details: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform equipment preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement of surface mount components and through hole components. Assist management to analyze, plan, prepare, and conduct repair and maintenance tasks. Assist in the quality control of 'O' and 'I' level repair and maintenance. Conduct inventory control and management of equipment, component, and technical spare parts level maintenance. Read and interpret complex schematics, parts/wiring diagrams, work orders, customer specifications, test instructions/procedures, and engineer notes/memos to determine tests/equipment required. Sets up and evaluates the performance of subassemblies and assemblies. Analyze and interpret test data to determine if results are within appropriate specifications. Prepares and maintains appropriate technical notes and records. Provide feedback to supervision and planning on time restraints and productivity goals set by management. Assist in maintaining repaired equipment tracking data and monthly reporting as required. Trains, directs, and assists lower technicians as required. Other duties as required. General Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System. Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures. Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organizations. Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures. Other duties as requested. Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Trade Certificate or appropriate qualification in electronics/communications. Forklift License holder desirable. Qualified medium truck license desirable. Vehicle Loading Crane license desirable. Work at Heights qualification desirable. Experience: 2 years' experience in a similar role conducting maintenance activities (can be gained as part of the Cert III qualification).
Microsoft Office literate Personal Qualities: Ability to work individually or within a small team. Ability to travel and work outdoors in remote field environments. Excellent interpersonal skills. High levels of customer support and service delivery. Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods.
Condition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police check.
