Assembly & Process Work (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Hume Doors & Timber (QLD) Pty Ltd, a 100% Australian owned company, is Australia's leading Door Manufacturer and Timber Wholesaler, marketing its products to the hardware, timber and building industries throughout Australia and Overseas.The company is seeking to hire a Factory Hand to complement the team at our Cairns Warehouse.The successful candidate will ideally possess carpentry/joinery experience, have good attention to detail, and will have worked in a similar industry.You will be responsible for:Assembling timber entry framesFinishing timber doors prior to dispatchGeneral factory duties as requiredPrevious woodworking experience is highly desirable. It is essential that you are able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers. A willingness to be a team player and do what is required to maintain the efficiency of our operations is a must.It is important that you understand how to conduct yourself in accordance with safe work practices. Appropriate training will be provided. You must wear high-vis shirts and steel cap boots at all times.A current manual open licence as well as a current forklift licence is essential in this role.If this role sounds like something you would enjoy, then we encourage you to apply for the position.
