As the Facility & Grounds Officer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and functional environment for our health unit.
Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of hands-on tasks, from rubbish collection and minor carpentry to painting, plumbing, and mechanical upkeep.
You'll also ensure our grounds are well-maintained, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance
Contribute to the upkeep of the health unit's interior and exterior by requesting repairs for equipment.
Coordinate and arrange for the servicing and repairs of vehicles and equipment.
Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including painting and minor repairs (not to trade standards).
Grounds Maintenance
Assist with minor pruning, cutting, and other gardening tasks.
Install watering systems to enhance the grounds.
Operate basic tractor functions for grounds and sports field maintenance, including watering, mowing, and raking.
What We're Looking For:
Limited experience in building and grounds maintenance.
Basic knowledge of safe working conditions and a commitment to safety.
Understanding of customer service principles and a dedication to providing excellent service.
Familiarity with computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare Act and Risk Management principles.
