Permanent Full Time opportunity available (9 day fortnight) Salary: LGO 5 ($87,024 - $90,825 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience.

Our Purpose: Grow Townsville Our Values: Safety, Excellence, Respect, Value, Enjoyment About The Role This role works within the Property Management Unit providing expert technical advice across all aspects of facilities management and is actively engaged in delivering a project management service to ensure Council's buildings and facilities operational maintenance works are managed and completed within operational target and budget.
The role also contributes to the development of the current years' works programs and budgets to achieve strategic plans and support the activities of property stakeholders.
About You Our ideal candidate will have: Knowledge of project management and construction management processes and procedures associated with building management, construction and/or maintenance work, including building systems, e.g., HVAC.
Substantial experience in building and facilities management across the asset life cycle, including maintenance strategy and delivery, procurement, contractor performance, analysis of condition and risks, stakeholder management and resolution of issues.
Demonstrated knowledge of building standards and legislations.
High level of facilities management skills including preliminary investigations, interpreting drawings, concept designs management, financial management, quantifying, analysing rates and cost estimating, condition assessments, and experience in the management and delivery of a range of minor and medium scale facilities works and projects.
Tertiary qualification in Property, Assets and Facilities Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil or Building Engineering or related disciplines or extensive construction and maintenance management experience.
Current "C" class driver's licence.
