The OpportunityGoal Group is seeking an Export Control Manager with strong export control experience and an understanding of the Defence commercial environment and processes to join our team in Sydney. This is a 7-8-month fixed tenure employment engagement, offering employee benefits (pro rata). There is potential for extension but not guaranteed. Contractors may also be considered.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and ability to interpret Export Control and IP access requests, along with access control for ITAR/IP/Export controlled information; analyse new and current ITAR policy and agreements to further develop registers and processes; and be able to lead junior Export control staff.
About YouPossess current/recent experience in an International Trade compliance / Export Controls (ITAR) role (or knowledge gained in adjacent functional roles such as contracts/commercial administration or similar, within the Defence Sector).Knowledge of Australian, U.S., and European Export Controls laws, Customs Regulations, and experience in overall compliance with facilitating import and export activities in the Australian Defence environment.Experience in interpretation and implementation of government policy relating to International Trade Compliance/Export Controls within the Australian Defence industry or adjacent industries that are subject to similar regulations due to handling of ITAR controlled technology.Currently hold an NV1 Clearance is ideal. The ability to obtain and hold a Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) Security Clearance is essential for work in this space.
