Annandale Animal Hospital is looking for a qualified and experienced part-time Veterinary nurse.
Annandale Animal Hospital is located in the Inner West of Sydney, and is a busy 6 vet practice providing excellent care to all our patients and clients. We offer a supportive friendly environment and opportunities to further your education/skills. Our large 35-person team is a family of animal attendants, receptionists, nurses, vets, and management who work together in a respectful and cohesive manner. It truly is a workplace of friends, and we are hoping to find someone to fit in the great team we already have.
What we are looking for: Due to a high and sometimes complex case load, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on nurse that is ready to jump in and apply their knowledge and skills.
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a minimum of 3 years full-time experience.A high standard of surgical and medical skills. Sound knowledge of RX Works.Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.The ability to work both independently or as a team, and maintain a hygienic hospital environment.Exceptional time management skills.Be friendly, have an easy-going nature with a strong work ethic.Skills required: Performing nurse consults, dental checks, suture removal, arthritis injections, etc.Confidently perform surgical admissions and discharges.Ability to confidently perform TPR's, IV catheter placement, blood collections, in-house pathology, cytology, and radiology.The ability to do drug and CRI calculations, capable of administering, intubating, and monitoring anaesthetics in dogs and cats.Experience in nursing unwell and complex medical cases.We pride ourselves on the hard work done by all our team which continues to strengthen our excellent reputation.
