This organisation is currently seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join their Mount Isa team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Team Leader and working as part of a supportive, diverse and multidisciplinary team, this role will see you assessing, planning and implementing exercise programs for preventing and managing chronic diseases and injuries and assisting in restoring optimal physical function, health and wellness of their clients.Core duties will include but will not be limited to:Screening and risk stratifying to ensure the safety and appropriateness of exercise and physical activity interventionsAssessing a person's 'movement' capacity in people of all ages and levels of health, wellbeing or fitnessRunning already developed group classes in relation to falls prevention and cardiac and pulmonary healthDeveloping safe, effective individualised exercise interventionsProviding health education, advice and support to enhance health and wellbeingProviding exercise intervention and advice for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injuryManaging communication with internal and external stakeholdersThere will be some travel with overnight stays required to provide outreach services to communities distant to Mount Isa.
