We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist (Grade 3) to join our team based in Nhill !
In a full time or part time capacity, you will assist in covering 9 locations across Western Victoria, providing Exercise Physiology services to people of all ages within our communities, acute inpatient wards and residential aged care facilities!

West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community health facilities to more than 22,000 people across nine locations in the West Wimmera region.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To provide Exercise Physiology services to West Wimmera Health Service clients.
This position is responsible for working in conjunction with a diverse multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of culturally appropriate exercise physiology services.
Co-ordinate a team consultation approach for allocation of Exercise Physiology clinical cases.
Co-ordinate university student placements in conjunction with the Education manager.
To act as an active consultant and supervisor as necessary for all Exercise Physiology staff, and provide dedicated clinical supervision time to Grade 1 Exercise Physiologists.
Work in conjunction with Physiotherapy Managers to coordinate the Rehabilitation Department timetable.
Oversee all land-based exercise groups, including regular review of policies and processes involved with these groups, ensuring correct documentation completed by Exercise Physiology Team members.
Coordinating maintenance and repair of equipment in the gym.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
ESSA registered Exercise Physiologist or its equivalent.
3 years of experience as an Exercise Physiologist.
Have proven abilities in the treatment of musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory and chronic conditions using a problem-solving and objective approach.
Appropriate skills/experience above base grade practising clinician.
Clinical experience in a variety of community-based settings: aged, acute and a range of community.
Willingness to work in a rural setting.
Ability to initiate and implement Exercise Physiology programs including group programs.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate effectively with peers and other professionals and speak to community groups as required.
High level of written communication skills.
Ability to work independently but also as a member of a team.
Must be effective in a team and be able to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility.
Commitment to principles of quality assurance, EEO & OH&S. Display competence or potential to teach and supervise other staff and students.
Must be self-motivated and be responsible and responsive to a situation where a high level of professional autonomy exists.
