We are seeking an enthusiastic Executive Support Officer to join our team! This is an exciting, fixed term temporary full-time opportunity located in Coopers Plains. The Executive Support Officer will provide professional and confidential high-level executive and administrative support to the Operations Manager, PEH, including timely provision of briefing and other materials as required; efficient and effective progression of ministerial correspondence, briefing notes and memoranda; and liaising with business units within QPHASS, other government agencies and external stakeholders to ensure effective functioning of the Office of the Operations Manager, PEH.

Key Responsibilities Maintain effective communication between key PEH stakeholders both internally and externally.
Liaise and effectively communicate (both written and verbal) directly with external organisations, personnel at all levels and disciplines within the Division, and senior officials within Queensland Health in the dissemination of information and decisions with tact, diplomacy, respect and in a professional manner.
Using discretion, work autonomously to redirect and respond to matters on behalf of the Operations Manager within defined boundaries.
Coordinate and prioritise incoming/outgoing communications, papers, meeting documentation and reports on behalf of the Operations Manager.
Assist in coordinating the preparation of briefing notes, submissions, possible parliamentary questions, Ministerial and general responses on behalf of the Operations Manager when required.
Undertake investigation, research and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters, maintaining a professional manner at all times.
Demonstrated experience in providing high level confidential executive and administrative support to senior management and office administration.
Proven ability to effectively manage the office of a senior executive in a demanding and fast paced environment.
High level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise, negotiate and consult with a wide variety of clients including senior executives, managers and members of the public on a range of sensitive issues.
Ability to improve administrative systems and practices, use problem solving skills to provide solutions to a complex range of internal and external clients/stakeholders, and identify and lead service improvement opportunities with demonstrated conceptual, analytical and innovative skills.
Proven ability to work autonomously and use discretion in the absence of decision-makers to establish work priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
Well-developed skills in the use of email, One Note, eDRMS, Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment where adaptability and job sharing is a fundamental requirement.
Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices, including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and ethical behaviour.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements:
While not mandatory, a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant field will be well regarded.
