About You You will be an outcomes-focused passionate advocate for the EPA, with the ability to collaborate and influence across a wide range of stakeholders and partners. You recognise the importance of applying your commitment to timeliness, quality, service and proactivity to all things you are accountable for and enabling those you support and lead with this focus. You will coordinate and manage a range of special internal projects, as well as ensure there is a high level of service delivery across the division to meet key objectives.
You will act as the Executive point of contact for this Division; liaise with internal and external stakeholders and oversee executive and ministerial correspondence activity, briefing notes, submissions and reports, ensuring timely and accurate information and responses. You will also provide issues management and support, responding to emerging issues to ensure effective resolution with minimal risk to the division.
This is a supportive team that provides opportunities for professional development with a focus on continually improving and growing. The role is fast-paced and challenging, with the ability to deliver genuine improvements within the division and organisation.
About the Team The EPA has 5 divisions and our Corporate Affairs Branch with a focus on the various aspects of environmental protection and regulation and the prevention of harm to the environment and human health. Each division is led by an Executive Director and has an Executive Officer to manage their office.
This temporary role is in the Operations Division who oversees regulatory and compliance operations, including incident response and investigations across contaminated land management, waste, hazardous chemicals, radiation, forestry, gas operations and licensed activities, they manage key stakeholder interactions with regulated industry, other government departments, peak bodies, environmental and community groups.
You will also form part of the Executive Officer cohort who will share your passion for continuing to mature and improve the professional administrative services delivered as a key enabler of the EPA.
