In this role, you will:
Operating machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operatorComplying with Thiess' policies and proceduresResponding to instructions from Mining SupervisorExcavating to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms and pit wallsEnsuring floor levels are maintainedMinimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerancesSetting and maintaining high housekeeping standardsCarrying out pre-start checksAbout youMinimum of 5 years mining experience as mining production excavator operatorEquivalent to or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essentialExperience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment essentialSound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configurationSkills to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal amount of material for final trim to design of batter angleProven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all timesWhat Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options – Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usWe partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
