The City of Karratha is looking for an Events Officer to help plan, organise, and deliver a range of vibrant arts, culture, and community events, including the Cossack Art Award, Red Earth Arts Festival, and Christmas in Pilbara.
This is a fixed term role until September 2025 to cover a period of parental leave.
About the Role:
As an Events Officer, you'll coordinate all aspects of event planning and logistics, from booking performers to managing suppliers.
You'll work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to promote events and engage with local stakeholders, ensuring our events are impactful and well-attended.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop event plans, manage budgets, and handle all logistics.
Foster relationships with local businesses, artists, and stakeholders.
Support promotional activities to ensure maximum visibility.
Oversee procurement, record-keeping, and ensure safety protocols.
Requirements:
3+ years in event planning, logistics, or administration experience.
Strong organisational and communication abilities, with computer proficiency.
Current C Class driver's licence, recent Police Certificate, and Working with Children Certificate.
