About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Ethics and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Sydney.
In this role, you will support the implementation of Takeda's Ethics & Compliance (E&C) program in the Oceania region, ensuring adherence to industry codes of conduct and internal policies.
You will work closely with internal and external partners to deliver transparency reporting, monitor compliance activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will do Transparency Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting per Medicines Australia and New Zealand Codes, and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
Compliance Monitoring: Oversee the Oceania LOC Monitoring program, ensure adherence to standard Operating Procedures, lead compliance efforts and improvements.
Code of Conduct: Apply and support the Takeda Code of Conduct and relevant industry codes.
Policy Management: Maintain and revise E&C policies, prevent misconduct, and build awareness of Standard Operating Procedures responsibilities.
Risk Management: Identify and address compliance risks and develop corrective action plans.
Training & Awareness: Promote E&C program activities, training, and resources.
Privacy Support: Advise on actions under the Privacy Act (1988).
Global Initiatives: Implement global compliance initiatives timely and professionally.
Complaints Handling: Manage responses to internal and external product non-conformance and complaints.
Values Ambassadors: Support embedding corporate philosophy and values.
What we're seeking in you Bachelor's degree in Medical, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years in E&C in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with Transparency Reporting per Medicines Australia.
Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented and diligent.
Knowledge of industry codes of conduct in Oceania.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate and promote compliance culture.
