Who are we Wardle Construction is a down to earth company, specialising in Form/Reo/Pour packages for beautiful, architecturally designed, high-end residential projects in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. A medium sized Residential Formwork company, we're looking for an Estimator experienced in formwork, to join our team as we continue to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stepping stone to grow within the industry.
About the role Based in our Banksmeadow office, you'll play a crucial role in our office team of 4, ensuring our high-end residential projects are accurately priced. You'll be responsible for estimating the costs of formwork, concrete placing & finishing, and steel fixing services, from architectural & structural designs. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities: Estimate Preparation: Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for formwork, concrete and steel fixing services. Quoting Process: Manage the quoting process, from preparation to submission. Take-Off Software: Utilise take-off software to accurately quantify materials and labour needs. Cost Analysis: Analyse project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and project requirements. Budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goals. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates and quote submissions in the system. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects and clients, to ensure clear communication and successful outcomes. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs and labour rates, to ensure competitive and accurate estimates. About you: Proven experience estimating formwork projects. Proficient in take-off software, estimation software and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials and cost estimation techniques. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
