They are a respected and trusted residential building business that caters for the first home buyer through to those wanting to build their forever home on sprawling acreage and everyone in between.Your new roleThe Medium Density Estimating Manager will manage all estimating and purchasing related activity for the Medium Density Business Unit across NSW and ACT. This role is responsible for the implementation, development, maintenance and improvement of estimating processes and procedures specifically designed for medium density construction.Responsibilities would include:Manage the workload and capacity of members of the estimating team, particularly as the business evolves and grows.Continually liaise with the construction team with respect to all estimating or tendering related construction issues.Assist with the provision of detailed construction cost planning input into all new business transactions undertaken by the medium density business.Maintain price catalogues to ensure all sub-contractor and supplier price updates are entered into the system promptly.Establish and manage the process of undertaking cost comparisons, price rise analysis and procurement related activities.Participate in the negotiation and finalisation for key suppliers and subcontractors.Oversee and manage the processing of Vendor invoices.Issue all tender requests to suppliers and subcontractors.Review and evaluate tender responses to ensure compliance with the required scope.Coordinate the tender award and/or issuing of purchase orders with the construction team prior to processing orders or letting sub-contracts.Your skills and experienceIdeally 5+ years' experience in Estimation in the Building sectorDegree in Construction Management or related fieldDemonstrated verbal and written communication skillsCommercially astuteProven track record of EstimatingWhat next?If you feel this role is of interest and you have what is required to succeed, please apply now.
