We are looking for an Estimating Manager to join our expanding team at SEE Civil.
In this senior role, you will lead our estimating department through the entire bid process, playing a pivotal role in securing new projects and driving the company's success.

Responsibilities Lead and mentor the estimating team, ensuring optimal performance and continuous development Review tender opportunities, provide recommendations for bid decisions, and lead the entire estimating process Collaborate with the Commercial and Pre-Contracts teams to assess risks and develop tender strategies Represent SEE Civil in joint venture bids, overseeing bid teams, governance, and risk workshops Support bid teams with innovative solutions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of tenders Participate in client meetings, pre-tender briefings, and post-tender negotiations, including occasional travel Oversee handover meetings for successful tenders, ensuring all key details are transferred to the construction team Contribute to business development efforts, including attending industry events and providing insights to senior leadership Key Requirements Extensive experience in estimating, particularly in urban development projects Proficiency in bulk earthworks, roadworks, and pipeline methodologies Strong background in first principles estimating or forecasting Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing teams Strong commercial acumen and experience in assessing and managing project risks Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent SEE Civil in client meetings and workshops In-depth knowledge of tendering processes, contracts, and pricing methodologies Ability to innovate and contribute to best practices in estimating Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes What's next?
