Do you hold a Chief Mate unlimited CoC or a Master unlimited CoC?About T-PortsT-Ports operates a transshipment vessel, MV Lucky Eyre, which is 87 meters long in Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula and Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. T-Ports specialises in grain storage, bulk handling, and transshipping. T-Ports transships grain from Port 6 nautical miles offshore and then transfers the grain into ocean-going vessels, using cutting-edge transshipment technology. T-Ports represents a paradigm change in world port and supply chain "bringing the port to the product". T-Ports is founded on four pillars: Innovation, Safety, Integrity, and Efficiency.About the RoleThe Chief Mate will assist the Master with the safe operation of the vessel.To ensure policies and procedures are carried out safely and efficiently while maintaining a high quality of standards and practices.You will be required to operate the Material Handling System and be responsible for the cargo operations on board.Key ResponsibilitiesCasual ongoing position.Reporting to and assisting the Master with the safe operation of the vessel.Responsible for safe and efficient cargo operations (loading/unloading), including supervising of the Material Handling System & personnel.Ensure that all tasks on board are performed in accordance with State and National legislation and regulations and company policies.Comply with the Vessel Safety Management System.Comply with Workplace Health and Safety procedures.Work closely with shoreside terminal personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations.Responsible for preparations of the vessel for various regular external inspections.Responsible for coordinating and supervising all relevant onboard safety checks, inspections, and maintenance programs.Any other duties requested by the Master.Minimum RequirementsMinimum valid AMSA Chief Mate Unlimited CoC.Valid AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness.Must have Australian work rights.Transshipping experience – Desirable.Hands-on ship handling experience >500gt – Desirable.BenefitsEqual time roster (4 weeks on, 4 weeks off).12-hour shifts (12 hours on, 12 hours off).Work onboard and off vessel accommodation provided.Meals on vessel provided.Flexible and inclusive employer.Interstate travel to site provided.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your current right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have working as a Chief Mate?What are your availabilities to start work?Do you hold a valid AMSA Unlimited Chief Mate CoC OR Unlimited Master CoC?
