We are a leading Australian environmental consultancy, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable environmental solutions across various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, mining, and urban development.
Our Environmental Planning and Approvals team is central to helping clients navigate Australia's complex regulatory landscape and achieve successful project outcomes.
We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Planner with strong expertise in environmental assessment and licensing to join our team.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to manage and deliver a range of projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation of environmental impact assessments (EIAs), environmental reports, and statutory planning applications.
Provide expert guidance on environmental licensing, permits, and approvals across a range of projects.
Coordinate environmental planning processes to ensure compliance with relevant Australian environmental legislation (e.g., EPBC Act, state planning laws).
Work closely with clients to identify project-specific environmental constraints and develop solutions.
Liaise with regulators, local councils, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth approval processes.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Conduct site visits, field assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor and interpret environmental regulations and policies to keep clients informed of changes affecting their projects.
Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in environmental planning, environmental assessments, and securing environmental licenses and approvals in Australia.
Solid understanding of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks (EPBC Act, state and territory-specific regulations).
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with stakeholders, including government bodies and regulators.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
Proven experience working in an environmental consultancy or related field.
