Environmental AdvisorJoin our Leading International Oil & Gas client12 month contract with potential to extendBased in West Perth with easy access to public transportAbout the Role:On behalf of our leading Oil & Gas client, we are seeking a professional and experienced Environmental Advisor for the Scarborough Project in the Carnarvon Basin. Reporting to the QHSE Manager, you will provide the necessary support to ensure that the project environmental plans and procedures are properly implemented on site during operations. The position will initially be a 12-month contract with options to extend. The role will be based in West Perth with ad-hoc travel to site.Role Purpose:Provide guidelines for the management of the environmental aspects;Analyse the activities' environmental impact, both for the project and execution phase;Identify and develop proper mitigation measures and methods to be implemented for reduction of the environmental impact;Provide support for the development and improvement of the environmental management system and performances of the project;Update and spread the laws knowledge and the authorizing processes related to the environment;Environmental compliance and record checks, and associated reporting;Environmental Audits and Inspections.Skills and Experience Required:Degree in Environmental Science / Management or related disciplineExperience in dealing with relevant regulators (NOPSEMA/DMIRS)Performing Environmental assessmentsStrong attention to detailEnvironment Oil and Gas Industry standards/expectationsExcellent verbal and written communication (in English), with very strong attention to detail and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically, and directlyHigh level of initiative, self-drive and enthusiasm to succeed and progressVery good organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, manage expectations and coordinate prioritiesStrategic thinking mindsetWilling to learnFlexibility
