The Role & The Team Reporting to the Head of Risk and Regulatory Affairs, you will be part of the Risk and Governance team, an inclusive and supportive team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in implementing and maintaining an effective enterprise risk management framework, aligned with relevant APRA prudential and international risk standards.
You will proactively manage and mitigate all Insurance, Financial, Strategic and Operational Risks.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and address potential risks, ensuring that Adica operates within its risk appetite and maintains compliance with prudential and industry standards.
This opportunity will see you: Implement and manage an effective enterprise risk management framework including drafting and advising on policies and procedures.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to Adica.
Develop, implement, and manage control assessments and testing per the framework, evaluating key controls and recommending enhancements.
Provide risk expertise and advisory support to stakeholders and committees.
Prepare risk reports for senior management and the Board.
Promote a strong risk culture and embed the three lines of defence model.
Support the Risk Team as needed.
Manage and update data in the GRC system This role will be based at our St Kilda Rd Office in Melbourne.
Your Skills & Experience We are looking for someone who has: Degree in Finance, Business, Law, Risk Management, or related field.
3+ years' experience in Risk, Compliance, Assurance, or Internal Audit.
Strong policy drafting and analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Suite proficiency.
Experience in APRA-regulated Financial Services.
Knowledge of CPS220, CPS230, CPS234, FAR, and ISO standards.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
