Engineering/Technical - Bulk Recruitment Round Defence are looking for high performing, experienced, professional Engineers with strong leadership qualities to fill a variety of engineering management and engineering specialist roles.
As an EL 1 Engineer/Technical, your key duties may include:
Provide engineering leadership, with a record of delivering complex technical and engineering outcomes. Lead an operational or project team and will be accountable for the outcomes of the teams work and the appropriate use of resources to produce and achieve outcomes. Deliver a program of acquisition and sustainment engineering and technical activities that are not only relating to complex systems, but are critical for the Australian Defence Force working closely with Industry Partners. Responsible for exercising assigned engineering authorities and relevant Technical Regulatory Authority delegations. Implement deep engineering and technical management knowledge to deliver advancements to engineering principles, techniques, methods and regulations within the Defence environment. Communicate, engage, and maintain stakeholder networks. As part of this selection process a Merit Pool of highly suitable candidates will be established to fill similar vacancies that may arise over the next 18 months.

In addition to the above vacancies, Defence is seeking to create a merit pool at the EL 1 level to fill future vacancies.

Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG): CASG exists to meet the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) military equipment and supply requirements, identified by Defence and approved by Government. CASG manages a multi-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities supporting armed forces. Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG): NSSG is responsible for delivering and sustaining Australia's naval capability – the ships and submarines – for Australia to be able to fight and win at sea.  Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEO): GWEO's mission is to deliver an Enterprise with a focus on domestic manufacture, long-range strike and uplifting our war stocks enabling the Australian Defence Force, in competition and conflict.
