Registers provide a mechanism to recruit to casual vacancies. They may also be used to fill short, fixed-term vacancies where normal recruitment processes are not practicable.
This Register will remain open until 30 June 2026 and will be reviewed on a regular basis. Please note that inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made.
This Register: Applications are invited from Registered Nurses interested in being considered for fixed-term full-time, part-time, or casual employment periods up to 12 months within community settings in South and North West Tasmania.
Minimum requirements include:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered NurseCurrent Driver's LicenceThe Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position must satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion, or transfer. The following checks will be conducted:
Conviction check in the following areas: a) Crimes of violence; b) Sex related offences; c) Serious drug offences; d) Crimes involving dishonesty.Identification check.Disciplinary action in previous employment check.* As required by CHSP, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
Please note: For some roles, you may be required to hold a current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration. You will be notified if you are required to obtain this prior to commencing employment.
