The Role: Our HR team consists of specialists across the globe who support the business through a number of key areas, including Employee Relations and Industrial Relations, Talent Acquisition and Management, Organisational Development and Compensation and Benefits.
As we expand, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our HR team and ensure the effective management of ER processes. The role plays an integral part of HR operations and is a key contributor to building and maintaining an open and supportive culture for our employees and people leaders.
This is a maternity leave fixed term contract role to April 2026 based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
To be successful as an Employee Relations Specialist, you will need to: Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Address and resolve employee concerns, disputes, and grievances in accordance with company policies and Australian labour laws. Conduct investigations into workplace issues and provide recommendations for resolution in a timely and balanced manner.Develop, implement, and update HR guidelines aligned with company policies and procedures and reflecting legal requirements and industry best practices. Monitor and enforce compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.Support HR in the implementation of performance management processes, including coaching managers on performance improvement plans. Collaborate with managers to address performance-related issues and ensure fair and consistent outcomes.Mediate and facilitate resolution in cases of workplace conflicts or disputes. Provide guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution strategies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of ER cases.
