About the role:
We are seeking a fixed term part time endorsed Emergency Paediatric Nurse Practitioner. The Emergency Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (EPNP) practices across the emergency department (ED) including through the fast track model (mostly injuries), and managing paediatric patients with appropriate medical treatment. The EPNP provides advanced clinical decision making through the following extensions to practice: advanced history taking and assessment, diagnosis, interpretation of diagnostics and pathology, provides treatment and management of children presenting with childhood health concerns.
The successful candidate will have:
Current Registration with AHPRA endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner Experience and credentialing in an aligned ED NP role Completed a Master of Nursing (nurse practitioner pathway) Program Possess a minimum of five (5) years full time equivalent experience in a relevant clinical practice Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and knowledge in paediatric nursing, interpersonal skills and ability to practice as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrate high level processes including accurate record keeping and data management skills.
