Eligibility Entitlement Specialist

HAYLO People are the trusted recruitment agency for candidates in the Personal Injury & Insurance industry. We have partnered with a well-known claims service provider who is seeking an experienced Eligibility Officer or Technical Manager to join their claims team and step into a new role as an Entitlement Specialist within the eligibility team.

In this role, you will support the eligibility function by providing technical advice, coaching, and mentoring to Eligibility Officers relating to complex decisions. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all factors are being taken into consideration relating to making sustainable eligibility decisions.

This position will be a full-time and permanent position offering flexible working arrangements with 1 day in the office.

About the role:

Supporting Eligibility team members in making fair and sustainable decisions regarding the lodgement of workers' compensation claims.
Providing coaching, mentoring, and support to Eligibility Officers about the VIC workers' compensation legislation.
Determining liability for complex claims within the designated 28-day decision timeframe.
Collaborating with other claims departments, such as Legal, Technical, and Dispute Resolution teams, to ensure decisions are sustainable and well-informed, supported by the broader team of claims experts.

About You:
Over 3 years of experience as an eligibility officer or experience as a Technical Manager.
Strong expertise in managing workers' compensation claims and a solid understanding of determining claims eligibility.
Excellent client and customer engagement skills, with a focus on building relationships.
Strong understanding of the Accident Compensation Act.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
Experience in coaching and mentoring within a workers' compensation environment.

Benefits:
Salary based on experience: $105,000-110,000 plus super.
Flexibility working arrangements: 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home.
