You can lead, support, and provide technical development to diverse teams comprising of tradespeople, engineers, and apprentices.You prioritise safety and offer leadership in this area while promoting quality of work and time management. Your ability to work autonomously, including scheduling and prioritising yours and your team's time to achieve successful outcomes, will see you be a valuable Supervisor.In addition to Electrical Trade qualifications (Electrician Practitioners License), experience with installation, modification and fault finding of industrial electrical plant including auxiliary equipment and knowledge of relevant electrical standards such as AS3000 and AS3008 are highly desired. A valid driver's license and solid computer skills are also essential.About the role:To put it simply… you will supervise the Electrical work for our Major Works program as this rolls out across the state. This will involve heavy involvement in the refurbishment of hydropower assets that have been operating for over 100 years!As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be…Providing supervision to your work group, including junior Technicians/Assistants and Apprentices,Acting as supervisor for selected contractors and act as Person-in-Charge for Hydro Tasmania work parties and plan, control, and co-ordinate electrical works,Assisting in the planning maintenance/full completion of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) documentation for the work on and off site,Assisting in developing and preparing Inspection Record Sheets (ITP's) and Inspection and Test Plans (IRS's),Assisting with compliance audits in line with Work, Health Safety and Environmental requirements to ensure the health and safety of self, team members and contractors,Monitoring and reporting progress and performance.In addition to a competitive remuneration package, this role offers the unique advantage of being based in some of the most breathtaking locations in the state.
