We are seeking an experienced Team Leader , preferably with an Electrical background, to lead the assembly of electrical components for our cutting-edge buses. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the quality and efficiency of our electrical sub-assembly processes, managing a team of skilled technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Who Are We?
Based in Sydney's Western Suburbs, Custom Denning is leading the charge in locally manufactured electric vehicles. We're working closely with the NSW government to transition buses to an electric fleet by 2030, contributing to a cleaner, zero-emission future.
The Job Itself:
Lead and supervise a team of electrical sub-assembly technicians. Plan and coordinate daily tasks to meet production goals. Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company protocols. Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Train and mentor team members, fostering skill development and productivity. Perform quality control checks to ensure precision in all electrical sub-assemblies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues swiftly during the sub-assembly process. Manage inventory levels of electrical components and coordinate with procurement for timely restocking. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance overall production efficiency. All About You:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but not essential. Proven experience in electrical sub-assembly, ideally within the heavy vehicle manufacturing industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and diagrams. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Solid knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. What We Offer:
