Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy) Randstad are seeking immediate applications from suitable candidates for the role of Electrical Project Manager within a leading mining and resources organisation. This exciting contract opportunity is available due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance.
You will provide effective technical expertise and engineering governance to a range of small scale projects.
Key responsibilities of this role include: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for capital projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. Manage project stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and external vendors. Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and track progress effectively. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reporting. Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 5+ years of proven experience project managing brownfield capital projects within an underground mining environment. Previous experience with control systems. Knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning processes. Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software and tools. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement. Highly technical and detailed. Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role, with preference given to those with mining experience. This position will commence immediately, and market rates are on offer.
