About the role Our Brisbane team is growing, and we are looking for a locally based Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer focused on the complete hazardous area asset lifecycle.
You will be assisting our existing team of hazardous area engineers, designers, auditors, inspectors and trainers across Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, Utilities and Manufacturing industries, for current and ongoing projects.
You will be a detail-oriented Engineer, engaging directly with clients and working with your team to define project scope and budgets, and then deliver to client expectations.

Key Skills & Experience:
Relevant (3+ years) and current Electrical and Instrumentation Hazardous Area Engineering experience works in either Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, Utilities or Manufacturing industries,Hazardous Area Classification and Design competencies and/or Inspection and Maintenance, or eligibility to obtain either or both of them,Experience with Australian Hazardous Area Standards and legislation,Design exposure to LV and HV system design, cable sizing, PLC and remote IO panel wiring, cable management systems, protection systems, instrumentation, motor controls and switchboards,Development of hazardous area verification dossiers, Ex equipment registers, entity calculations, and descriptive system documents,Understanding of hazardous area classification for Gas, Vapours, Mists & Combustible Dusts,Testing and commissioning experience (FAT, SAT), and hazardous area inspections will be added value,Exposure to generating study reports, scopes of work, equipment specifications and datasheets will be added value,Exposure to AutoCAD and/or Micro station drawing packages will be added value,Ability to deliver projects on time, on budget and to Verbrec and client standards,Ability to maintain engineering standards across all designs and projects,Be willing to work onsite from time to time to support clients and perform project tasks.If you are a Brisbane based Electrical and Instrumentation Hazardous Area Engineer with a passion for working through the detail to deliver engineering excellence and want to work in a collaborative team environment with varied clients and projects, apply today.
