About the role We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Electrical team based at our Somersby, NSW manufacturing facility.
Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Coordinator, you will be working on state of the art equipment and will be responsible for:
Assisting with installing, commissioning, testing, monitoring, repairing and maintaining electrical systems, ensuring systems are in line with relevant safety regulationsSupporting and assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in designing and developing electrical systemsPerforming electrical installation works in accordance to Site and Australian standards where requiredWriting service reports for electrical systemsCollecting data, conducting tests and reporting on test results as directed by the Electrical Workshop ManagerAssisting in estimating material costs and quantities for electrical work in industrial projectsAs we continue to grow our operations, this role is also involved with equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old machinery.
This is a full time position, with a compressed working week of Monday to Thursday (6:00am-4:00pm).
Salary for this position will be not less than $73,150 per annum.
About you To be considered for this position you will have:
Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experienceExtensive experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault findingAbility to read and interpret drawings/blueprintsHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsCondition monitoring techniquesLeadership & supervisory experienceHave worked in a continuous manufacturing environmentProject managementTroubleshooting and problem solvingAs part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
