Reporting to the Package Manager, the Electrical Engineer Specialist's role is to plan, coordinate, and manage the design, procurement, and construction phases for various Sustaining Capital projects.
This role will ensure the projects are completed in accordance with the project requirements, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities of this role: Lead the project scoping, strategic planning, design, and delivery of electrical, instrument, and controls packages.Provide technical advice and support to sustaining capital project teams and develop and review scopes of works.Coordinate scopes between engineering consultants, project management teams, site construction teams, and sub-contractors.Manage the execution of projects, from scoping, business case development, engineering design, site mobilisation/de-mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.Manage variations and evaluate the implications of scope changes with issues such as cost, safety, quality, and schedule.Assist in the management of all variation/TQ/RFI and action registers.Ensure environmental, occupational health, and safety obligations relating to project activities are fulfilled.Prepare management reports detailing project progress and commercial status.Assist in the preparation of capital cost estimates.Prepare and administer contract documents including cost, quality, and time-related issues; maintain project cost control procedures; liaise with engineering personnel.Quality Assurance and Quality Control administration in accordance with contractual obligations.To be successful in this role you will have: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.Previous experience in a similar role working with wet iron ore processing plants and power generation.Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with HV/LV, power distribution and systems, instrumentation, and process control systems in the mining sector.Minimum 10-15 years' experience in electrical engineering and multidisciplinary project delivery.Previous experience performing complex, multi-disciplinary brownfield projects > $50M AUD.Managed engineering design consultants and contractors.Knowledge of WA electrical requirements and statutory HV submission process.Prepared technical tender documentation and managed tenders.Experience working within operational and brownfields environments, including understanding of requirements to tie-in new projects to operational plant and systems.Understanding of the management of project controls including cost, schedule, reporting, and budgeting.Managed project procurement through to site-based installation of complex electrical equipment and systems.Developed commissioning management plans and managed onsite commissioning works.Join A World-Class Project Team As part of Australia's most successful private company, HanRoy has a mandate to lead the study, design, and development of a globally significant pipeline of projects that will provide ongoing supply of critical minerals and energy essential for everyday life.
