Electrical Engineer

About this Position:We currently have a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis with a global engineering solutions company who have a proven track record serving the product lifecycle needs of high technology companies. This role is based in Devonport.Job Responsibilities:* Design and oversee the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems for marine vessels.* Perform detailed electrical analyses and troubleshooting to ensure systems conform to national and international standards and operational requirements.* Engage in the full lifecycle development of electrical projects, from conceptual design through to implementation and maintenance.* Collaborate with marine architects and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall vessel designs.* Conduct field tests and inspections to ensure the safety and efficiency of electrical installations.* Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems and equipment.Experience Required:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on marine or naval applications.* Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, specifically in a marine environment.* Proficient with electrical CAD software and tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar.* Strong knowledge of maritime safety regulations and electrical standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC).* Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in diverse team settings#J-18808-Ljbffr
