EL2 Director Finance Business Partner (Professional Stream) Full time
$145,926 to $159,354 + 15.4% Superannuation

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability.
A new role awaits The Agency Budget and Financial Control Branch is currently seeking to fill an EL2 Director Finance Business Partner position. The Agency Budget and Financial Control is made up of three portfolios: Projects, Compliance, Analytics and Reporting, Budgets and Costings and Finance Business Partnering.
The Finance Business Partnering Portfolio team is responsible for providing finance partnering services to the business as and when required. This includes the provision of strategic financial advice to assist with decision making through forecasting and reporting.

For applications within the professional job stream, the successful applicant must possess and maintain relevant academic qualifications with membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) or other equivalent professional finance bodies (or holding equivalent finance related post graduate qualifications).

Partnering with other teams both within and external to the branch to provide technical and general accounting and finance advice. Influencing and developing financial strategies, policies, priorities, and operational practices. Overseeing and preparing a range of written material including various briefs, reports, discussion papers, and providing significant input to the Agency Financial Strategic Plan. Managing highly complex or sensitive finance functions, projects, and work programs, identifying and seeking clarity on emerging problems and risks. Providing a strategic and operational level of financial, technical and policy expertise and advice across one or more of the five core functions. Enough about us, let's talk about you Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of the government financial environment. They should possess highly developed stakeholder engagement and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders. You should have prior experience leading teams, as well as strong time management skills. Experience working with various systems such as SAS Enterprise Guide, SAP Financial systems and Microsoft suite will hold you in good stead.
You will need to hold CA/CPA qualifications and be able to provide these at the application stage.
