The Opportunity On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for experienced Project Managers to join the IT Transformation Team on a 12-month daily rate contract based in Richmond or Geelong, with hybrid work arrangements.
The team develops and implements ICT solutions to reduce fraud and combat non-compliance. The EL1 Project Manager will coordinate and assume responsibility for projects that impact strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities include: Develop, manage, and implement project plans and schedules, adhering to the project management framework. Contribute to project design, governance, and integration, ensuring seamless operational alignment. Oversee project deliverables, budgets, and timelines, meeting milestones and ensuring on-time completion. Conduct research, evaluations, and reporting to stakeholders on project status, risks, and exceptions. Prepare and review project documentation, manage budgets, procurement, and monitor project performance for quality and client satisfaction. Key skills required for roles: Proven experience of 5+ years in establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT system delivery projects. Recent experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management and governance frameworks and methodologies. Experience in Project Management in Federal or State Government environments. Experience delivering ICT projects using Agile frameworks. Desirable skills to have for the roles: Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded. Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry-recognised qualification in project management, such as Diploma of Project Management.
