The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. We have an exciting leadership opportunity available in the ICT Services Branch at EL1 Assistant Director Major Incident Management.The ICT Services Branch is responsible for supporting all ICT systems and infrastructure excluding the primary business applications such as SAP CRM and Salesforce CRM. The branch provides support and ICT services to Agency Staff and Partners. This includes the design, build, and maintenance of ICT applications, infrastructure, and hardware. The branch manages the relationship with Services Australia and other external ICT service providers within the agreed service levels, providing ICT Support to Agency Staff and Partners, transitioning and managing new ICT services that are not supported by Services Australia and improving ICT services to meet business requirements.Where you can add valueThe EL1 Assistant Director Major Incident Management is responsible to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to major incidents. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to:Ensuring effective, contemporary and agency appropriate policies, process and guidelines are in place and maintained.Undertaking associated reporting including major incident briefs, post major incident review reports and other reporting requirements.Communicating effectively to a variety of stakeholders with differing levels of ICT knowledge.Participating in the Major Incident On-call as required.Working with stakeholders to develop new processes and improvements to current processes.Provide guidance and where appropriate prioritising competing and often urgent requests in a professional and efficient manner while maintaining high work standards.Enough about us, let's talk about youOur ideal candidate has extensive major incident management experience with analytical thinking and problem-solving being some of their key skills.
