Griffith City Council is passionate about creating ongoing opportunities for our community and is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the following position to commence in January 2025, as an ideal "gap year" opportunity. Position Overview: The Economic & Community Development Officer will provide administrative and marketing assistance with the implementation of programs in Economic & Community Development. The successful applicant will be involved in developing and leading programs for young people and the community, making a difference to the community of Griffith. This exciting opportunity will appeal to those seeking a full-time fixed period of employment in 2025, while gaining a qualification in Business or Marketing.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will require a current NSW Working with Children Check and a current Australian Class C Driver License. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Working with Children Check Clearance Number for employment screening purposes if over 18 years of age.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require experience with digital marketing and use of marketing applications and other software, as well as experience in delivering events, projects, or programs.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary range from $63,046.36 to $69,351.88 (Grade 8) Plus Superannuation.
