Details of the offer

About Australian Integrated Carbon At Australian Integrated Carbon (AIC), we're not just a company; we're a nationwide movement fueled by experienced ecologists and geospatial analysts. Our goal is to empower landholders with the ability to turn environmental stewardship into a diverse, thriving business venture.
Imagine a future where every hectare of land holds the potential for both ecological renewal and economic growth. AIC has been at the forefront of this transformative journey, igniting change and helping landholders across the vast landscapes of New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, and Western Australia realise the untapped carbon potential of their properties.
The Role Our Ecologists play a pivotal role in executing and delivering AIC's nature-based carbon services throughout Australia. You will be required to apply the Clean Energy Regulator's (CER) methods and guidelines into actionable insights for AIC's teams, clients, and associates.
This position requires you to have practical experience, particularly in regard to undertaking field-based flora and fauna surveys, having excellent identification skills, familiarity with WA's flora and fauna species and the ability to communicate this information, both verbally and in highly technical reports, to our clients. You will need to be able to work flexible hours, including when conducting ecological field surveys, and be willing to travel to field locations (often in remote areas) throughout Australia.
Key Responsibilities Undertake field-based survey work, including vegetation identification and ecological mapping. Provide support and advice to primary industry sectors regarding sustainable land management and ecological restoration. Assess the feasibility of project approaches for conservation and carbon outcomes. Assist in developing and implementing ecological monitoring programs with the ability to detect change over time. Prepare and present technical information to a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. landholders, CER, AIC executives). Write, analyse and review reports, including vegetation assessment reports, ecological assessments reports, operational works management plans, offset management plans, other technical inputs. Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders across project portfolio. Assist AIC to expand its project portfolio. To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Ecology or related discipline. Ecological experience (preferably in WA) working in remote areas. Ecological consulting experience. Strong fauna and/or flora species knowledge and identification skills. Experience planning and undertaking ecological fieldwork. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Experience preparing a range of high-quality reports, such as environmental assessments and management plans. Current driver's license. Experience with Arc GIS and ability to prepare and manipulate basic GIS data. Basic remote sensing knowledge. AIC Benefits: Opportunities to work on high-profile sites across Australia. Some of the best technical and business mentoring available. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Work/Life balance. Join an established and rapidly growing business. NEXT STEPS If you're self-motivated, proactive and flexible in your approach to work, possess good analytical skills, then we want to hear from you.
