Our Vision of Strong Connected Communities is what drives us daily to ensure our local communities are at the heart of everything we do.About the role The Early Childhood Practitioner role is responsible for working alongside families with children younger than 6 years old who may have a developmental concern or delay and children younger than 9 with a diagnosed disability, to implement the NDIS Early Childhood approach. The approach supports children and their families in developing the skills they need to participate meaningfully in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their lives.The Early Childhood Practitioner works with families to:understand the NDIS Early Childhood approachunderstand their child's development through information gathering, goal setting and assessmentmake informed decisions and connect them to the most appropriate community, mainstream and funded early childhood intervention supports, including supporting with NDIS access where required.where a child has met the access criteria to the NDIS, understand and implement their NDIS plan and support with ongoing monitoring tasks.where a child meets the developmental concerns criteria, provide individual family capacity building, either group or individual evidenced based intervention.In this role, you will also participate in regular community engagement and capacity building activities, assisting to create opportunities for greater participation and meaningful inclusion of children with developmental delay and disability and their families/carers.This position is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month position and can be based in either Echuca, Bendigo or Gisborne office.This position is classified under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award with an annual salary between $89,591.84 - $91,587.60 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging.The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Allied Health, disability, early childhood education or related field. You will have a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children, working knowledge of local services and supports and a strong work ethic with values that align with those of Intereach.
